Platform/Type: WordPress Plugin
Purpose: A plugin built to automate the import process initiated by the stock/CRM management platform ‘Unleashed’, to import all specified products from the CRM into Woocommerce. This included most data required for e-commerce, stored in the back of Unleashed, including custom pricing (for different B2B customers), images, descriptions, calculations and more.
Originally this functionality was provided via Tide, but the WordPress plugin was built to replace this functionality/cost and improve on it where required for Greyvilles operation. The plugin would update the stock levels once every 5 minutes, and update the product details once every hour. As well as pull in various custom data, which would require extended work via Tide.
The purpose for custom pricing is so that the sales agents employed via Greyville could show other bike shops a custom version of the store – tailored to the customer as a bike shop.
