Description: This was a plugin built to automate the process of when Halfords placed orders via their backend FTP system, connected to the Greyville website. All orders came in via individual csv files – some containing one order, some containing many orders. Functionality was required to read all these files, organise the data into a separate spreadsheet which could then be imported into the Unleashed API as an order to be processed by the company.
Originally all these orders would be placed and processed manually – taking many hours in the day to do. The plugin would automate this process and scan the FTP once every hour to collect any new orders. Therefore relieving the staff time required to manually process, and ensuring all Halfords orders (our biggest customer) were processed quickly and accurately.
