Experience

Greyville Enterprises – April 2022 to December 2023.

Key responsibilities: manage company websites (both B2B & B2C) and servers. Build new websites to market company products and work with the marketing team to ensure assets & campaigns are delivered to requirement. Work with management, sales advisers, marketers, designers and general staff to ensure all work presented to the public is accurate, up to date and complete.

Technologies used: WordPress, Shopify, Cloud VPS, CPanel/FTP/SQL, Facebook (ads), Google (ads), Tiktok, Mailchimp, SEO, Google Analytics, AHREFs.

Pandemic: June 2020 – April 2022

I used my time in the pandemic to self-teach modern marketing techniques, as well as freshen up on website skills. From Sept 2021 – January 2022 I worked for agencies on manual work including working in the newly setup local Amazon warehouse.

Front End Developer, OneFruit – Birmingham (October 2017 – June 2020)

Key responsibilities: Build company websites (e-commerce & standard), fulfill general office admin duties. I worked with key-stakeholders to build websites for all purposes. I also worked on email marketing and general data marketing.

Halfords Autocentres – Digital Designer (April 2017 – October 2017)

This involved designing promotional material to assist with various weekly marketing campaigns to increase sales in Autocentres services. It also involves heavy work on updating the Halfords Autocentres website; taking part in weekly/monthly meetings to discuss further work related to promotional campaigns. During my time here I delivered (online and offline):

  • Weekly promotional material to go on the Autocentres website, as well as assets for newsletters and social media.
  • Setup many promotions for use within the campaigns, and occasionally worked with customer services to fix problems associated with already active campaigns.
  • Converted much content provided by colleagues into SEO viable HTML and CSS, for use in the blog section of the website as well as tyre products/pages. This included static images as well as provided video. These work alongside service promotions.
  • Assisted with general administrative tasks.
  • Assisted with UX Wireframes for use in the shopping cart.
  • Took part in weekly/monthly team meetings to discuss future operations and promotions within Autocentres.
  • Provided offline material for use in print for both campaigns as other Autocentres departments.

iON Cameras Ltd – Global Online Ecommerce Development (2014 – January 2016)

iON Cameras specialized in selling niche portable cameras to the world. Initially I started working as a content manager and web developer; the role gradually grew into several areas as business also grew.

  • Operation of the global ecommerce stores. This involved 18 websites in operation worldwide.
  • Developing new product microsites, both solo and part of a core team.
  • Providing technical assistance with office equipment when required.
  • Compiling reports for website meetings, with reflections on customer experience vs sales targets.
  • Helping with marketing campaigns and providing technical solutions where required based on research.
  • Researching future technologies for use within the companies’ ecommerce department, which would help further profits and general company operation.
  • Working with third party companies on effective transitions for products as used with Google rankings.

Agency Work (2008 – 2014) – Redditch based temp roles; both IT based and Industrial. DA Recordings LTD – Content Manager (2006 – 2008)

DA Recordings operated as a digital distributor, coming up with consistent strategies to sell music. During my two years, I spent my time extensively doing marketing, design, business, secretarial work, sales, programming and management.

Work completed in this time period: content management, filling in of metadata, social network site manipulation, client management, digital shop programming and design work for client site design/banner production on social networks.
